The FDA is working very hard to make it illegal for ephedra to be used in any type of diet pill or in any product for that matter. They are trying to get laws rewritten that give them more power to ban any herb they want to.
For a short while ephedra had been made illegal then legal ephedra came back on the market because of a court ruling but there were limitations.
The limitations that were implemented was the fact that the new legal ephedra diet pills had to contain no more than 10 mg of ephedra per serving.
So how does this compare to the amount that used to be found in ephedra diet pills?
It is half of what you used to find in all the old effective fat burners.
Most of the name brand fat burners that were popular and effective used to contain 20 mg of ephedra per serving.
This means if you find an ephedra product on the market today, you now have to take twice as much to achieve the same results.
Not only that but you are going to pay twice as much for a product you have to take double the amount of.
Before the ephedra ban you could buy ephedra diet pills for around $20 for a full strength version that contained 20 mg of ephedra.
Now, most of the ephedra diet pills on the market will run you around $40-$50 for a product that is half strength.
You can thank your friendly FDA for causing that situation.
